Ramanand Tyagi
The architect of OCEANSAT and RISAT Satellites of ISRO, Mr Ramanand Tyagi has promoted QUALDE DIGITAL SERVICES PRIVATE LTD.. He is an electronics engineer by qualification and exposed to various government departments like ISRO, DAE and DRDO. During his latest assignments, he was exposed to various engineering disciplines which are necessary to realise the remote sensing satellites working in optical and microwave bands. Important design aspects for any system to work in space environment cover optimisation of weight, volume and power consumption along the proper thermal design of electronics and mechanical subsystems. The subsystems should properly interface with each other and the systems on ground to give the optimum performance over a designed mission life. As the subsystems are multi-disciplinary in nature, the project director needs to have necessary skills in almost all engineering disciplines along with the general management skills required to implement any big project. These projects were conceptualised, initiated and their system design done by him. All this needed fair amount of entrepreneurial skills.
- Mr. Tyagi has now put to use all these basic traits, in starting this venture to provide servics in digital domain at mass scale.
